The workshop aims to increase the knowledge of parents, teachers and guardians in controlling emotions and behaviours of children with special needs. These include autism, ADHD, dyslexia and Down's syndrome. James said looking after the said children is no easy feat as apart from behavioural abnormalities, there is stigma associated with shame in seeking professional help. He said he would soon be leading a delegation to an autism-focused school in Singapore to study the operations and produce a cost estimate for the one proposed in Sabah.
