Eni SpA announced Sunday that it and United Arab Emirates' national oil company had signed an agreement to accelerate emission reductions in the country.
Eni stated that the memorandum of understanding between the Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. and the Italian energy company, Adnoc, outlines cooperation in future projects on energy transition and sustainability.
The company stated that Adnoc and Eni will look into opportunities in renewable energy and blue and green hydrogen as well as carbon-dioxide storage and capture. This will help to reduce greenhouse-gas and methane gas emissions, energy efficiency, and routine gas-flaring decreases.
